It's almost here!

Our 16th annual Holiday show is almost upon us! The Holly Tree is so happy to be back at the Boy Scout Hall in Tacoma! We've been working hard these past few weeks to make this a great show. Lots of new things and new vendors that we are excited to share with all of our loyal customers. We can't wait to see all of you!

November Recipe of the Month

HARVEST FRUIT PIE



4 medium Granny Smith apples

4 Tbsp. butter

1/2 c. golden raisins

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

3/4 c. brown sugar

3/4 c. white sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 c. fresh cranberries

1/2 c. chopped walnuts



Mix filling and put in a double pie crust.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes

Holly Tree's Monthly Recipe!

Each month, the members of Holly Tree Boutique meet and share a dish with each other. We have compiled our recipes into a cookbook that we have sold over the past few years. Now, each month we will feature a recipe out of that cookbook. Check back to see what's new!

CREAMY PASTA BAKE
1 jar (30 oz.) spaghetti sauce
1 1/2 c. sour cream
3/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
1 pkg (16 oz) favorite pasta (macaroni or rotini work best)
1 pkg (10 oz) frozen spinich, thawed and drained
1 spicy keilbasa sausage - cut small
or
1 lb cooked-drained ground beef
Heat oven to 375. Mix all ingredients together. Spoon into 9 x 13 inch baking dish and bake for 25 minutes!

The Holly Tree members are already hard at work looking for new great things to bring to our 2010 show. We are pleased to announce that we will be adding some antiques and collectibles to our handcrafted items this year!

We are also very excited to announce that we are returning to THE BOY SCOUT HALL for 2010!! With some negotiations, with the Boy Scouts, we were able to secure our favorite location for our show this year.

Happy Fall!

Fall is officially here... and you know what that means! Our annual Christmas show is just right around the corner! The Holly Tree members are very excited this year to go back "home" to the Point Defiance for our show this year. We will be located in the Pagoda, right behind the Old Lodge where we were located several years ago.

Here is the information for this year's show!

Friday, November 6th 10 am to 7 pm
Saturday, November 7th 9 am to 5 pm
Sunday, November 8th 11 am to 3 pm
$2.00 admission

WE'RE BACK!

The Holly Tree Boutique is heading "home!" Or at least it feels that way.

For the past 5 years, we have thoroughly enjoyed the location and hospitality of the Boy Scout Building and its staff in Tacoma. It was with a lot of sadness that we found ourselves having to say good-bye this year. Newly discovered policy circumstances no longer made it possible for us to continue our boutique there, so we found ourselves looking for another venue.

We are pleased to share with you now, that we will be returning to our previous location... one that we hated having to leave back in 2003.. PT. DEFIANCE PARK!! We would loved to return to the original building we once had, which was the Historical Lodge, but strongly felt that upstairs was becoming a bit prohibitive to not only some of our customers, but us boutique ladies as well. Running up and down for set-up was becoming a bit challenging even back in 2003!

So, we are moving to the Pagoda Building, which is located right by the Historical Lodge and which is much more accessible for everyone. It's a beautiful facility, nestled in the beautiful park, and we are beyond excited about going back there. It feels like a "homecoming" to all of us in the boutique and we are hoping it feels the same to all our wonderfully loyal customers.
